Easter Recap...

Dear ones and all; 4/5/2010

So the big Easter gathering has come and gone and we had such a great time this year, as always! These are just some of the highlights of the day:

  • Grandma had eggs for the kids to dye, baskets, candy and tattoos (she got one herself, ask her about it!)
  • Timothy and Tiffany put together a PiƱata for the first time (it was such a hit we all decided to make this a new tradition). NO WHISTLES NEXT YEAR OR CHEW CANS HAHAHA
  • Steve Washbon and his family joined us this year and provided all the bottled water, it is so great to have him and his family back in our lives!
  • The David Nehrig family were able join us and I understand David led in the hand ball matches! He says he won twice???????????
  • Seems that we don’t need 4 square rules anymore, so let’s have some handball rules posted, that way the girls know what the boys think is legal or not?
  • The Schedule of Events seemed to help out on any confusion except people did not notice the part of APPROXIMATE TIMES!
  • Basketball is an ‘All day event’ but I think if they go that long again without a score the game is over and let the handball begin! Do I have a second?
  • New comers this year were Bob and Wendy Tripp, Constance, Tiffany, Jason Jacobe, Ashlin, TK and Linda, two deputy’s, Rhianna and Washbon’s. Missed the John Boyer’s, (glad Tori was here), Clemente’s, Boyd’s, Aunt Laured, Jonathan, Brian and April, Joshua, Ford’s, Clarke’s and Russ.
  • Head count on the wall is 117! Good Size!
  • Great assortment of salad’s and desserts thanks to everyone for contributing to the menu!
  • Only three items left that haven’t been claimed, set of tongs, wood leaf bowl and mom’s Tupperware with cookies (the cookies are gone yummmmm thanks mom)
  • One little baby snake was caught and taken home by AJ, why does he get it every time?
  • When it comes time for the egg hunt the little kids all know who their favorite aunt is, I love bribes!
  • Thanks Uncle Ralph for getting the rock out of the pond! All fish and turtle have been accounted for, although some of the kids want to bring a fishing pole, which is over and above what we are willing to allow to make sure everyone is happy!
  • Thank you to all who helped clean up, that was awesome of all of you, we really appreciate it.
  • Big thank you to Justin, Jason, and Nolan for doing the BBQ, great job.
  • We all thought Uncle Ronnie’s rules of NO COMPLAINING AND NO WHINNING were a hit

So those are the highlights and remember “THANK YOU JESUS” is for everyday of the year. We love you and are already looking forward to next year! The Provost Family
