Hemet: Rattlesnake News

Hot off the press: The authorities have put out warnings to the Riverside area about severe rattlesnake bites. Since Easter is so late this year, the hot season has already begun and rattlesnakes are out. SO, this year when the group takes off on a hike, they must stay on the main trail. There will be no hunting for rattlesnakes off the main path because it will be too dangerous. **Uncle John has agreed with the risk and will be sticking to the trail as well.

Provost Easter Party

April 19, 2014

It’s that time of year again and we want to invite all the family to gather at our home:

25080 Pierson Rd
Homeland, Ca 92548
951-926-4957
Noon - ?

Food served around 1PM
Popcorn and snow cones available during the day

This year we will not be having burgers and hot dogs, we will be having BBQ chicken. Aunt Janna is making the rice (so that means someone else needs to make the broccoli salad) and so all of you need to bring a salad, a dessert and some type of munchies. If you’re packing an ice chest throw in an extra bag of ice as it will probably be a warm day out in Homeland. We will be serving ice tea, lemonade, coffee and water; if you are interested in something else, please bring your own.

Along with your food, bring some chairs, swim suits, towels, shade covering, and plastic eggs for the hunt if you have children in that age.

We always look forward to this day and enjoy it so much, please let me know how many of you are coming the week prior.

Thank you so much!

- Uncle Ron and Aunt JoAnne

Grandpa & Grandma Pictures

Hello Family!

I know that a couple cousins mentioned wanting to order one of the photo albums of Grandpa & Grandma that my parents gave out on Christmas. They cost $25 to have made and I would be happy to order them for anyone who would like one. Email me at cheriseboyer@gmail.com and let me know.

Check out some of the pictures of them on our photography blog :)

Check it Out

Hi Family...
Hope all is well as you're leading up to Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for down here - it's been a big year - new house, school for Hunter, an interesting job for Tony... plus increased opportunities for sharing love and connecting people to Jesus through our local church.

And actually, our church has just released its first song and music video! The plan is to release a CD sometime next year - so we're super excited!

I've attached the video - just wanted to share with you a piece of our lives in New Zealand. All of the folks are from church and the stage shots are from a typical Sunday service. Typically you'd find me and Tony on the front left of the stage - you may even catch a glimpse of the back of our heads...

We miss you guys!

Without Ceasing

Dear Family,

I was sitting in my CBS class this morning and I was reminded of all of you.  We have been studying the book of Ephesians and this morning we discussed chapter 6...The Armor of God.

I was filled with so many fond memories of saying this together as a family.  As a young girl I didn't fully understand what it all meant but it was imprinted on my heart.  To this day, I am remind (most days) to begin my day with my armor on.  Knowing that I may not know what the day holds but God will is with be and has equipped me with the Spirit.

We discussed the image of a line of soldiers standing shoulder to shoulder with their shields linked together, ready to move forward. This caused me to prayer for our family.  A lot more powerful then a single solider standing tall.

The last time we were in San Clemente I had announced I was moving back to Seattle and our devotions were centered on the topic of community.  We ended that time by putting our armor on together.  I love holding that image in my heart today.

Let's be reminded this day that we stand together, shields linked, grounded in faith, and protected by the Spirit.  This day may find you, giving birth (Katie), struggling at your job, worried over finances, mourning the loss of someone, feeling worthless or not enough, doubting God, feeling rejected, joyful for the sunshine or time to play, brokenhearted, hopeless, missing home, encouraged,
or ________, the list can go on and on but KNOW...

You
Do
NOT
Stand
Alone.

We are behind you!  We are backing you up!  Let us continue to pray for one another and reach out to connect in the midst of our day.
Thank you family for loving me well and for being a part of my journey.  See you in San Clemente!

Please save the dates of January 25-27 to help get Grandma & Grandpa's house fixed up. Their house will be carpeted on Sunday but there is a need for furniture movers, ceiling scrapers, painters, carpet installing helpers, and then more furniture moving. Poor Little Hunter...

Well... poor little guy was warming up to play soccer on Saturday when he tripped on the back of Tony's foot and landed wrong. We knew something was wrong when he didn't just bounce back up... the soccer manager called the ambulance and lucky Hunter got to go for his first (hopefully last) ride!

After x-rays the diagnosis came - thankfully, it was only a broken collarbone! And thankfully the waiting room was friendly enough (with a dvd player and toys) so it wasn't such an unbearable experience. He's got to wear the sling for two weeks and it should take 4-6 weeks to heal... please pray for a speedy and thorough healing. We are going away for the Christmas holiday, so hopefully the painful stage will be over by then (exactly the 2 week mark)!

Congratulations, Markus!!!

Hey Markus, congrats on your super CIF winning season and that amazing touchdown to win the game!!! Wish we could've been there... I'm sure everyone does!

For those of you who missed it - or the article in the newspaper - have a look:

A Beautiful Day To Celebrate

 Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Marsh!
It was a beautiful ceremony and a super fun celebration of God's timing and love!
I tried to get pictures of as many of the family as I could but looking through the photos I realised I missed a whole lot of us (including my own parents and the parents of the bride!!!) Oops... but here's what I've got so far!

just three more weeks for these two...
and three more weeks til these guys have a family of 4!!!

Lauren and Tori looked gorgeous in the bridal party!!! And great speech Tori!
We loved this touch of having the families united! Well done!
And your guest book was super cool... where do you guys come up with all these fun ideas!?!?

We did miss you, Stephen, and the other cousins who couldn't make it... but I'm sure Bryan & Cherise will come up with a creative way of getting more photos out so you can see it!!!

May God bless you and keep you as you've now become one and continue on this grand adventure as His followers! You two rock!

Seaside Family Camp

One of the fun things about living in the same town is that church camps become family camps... certainly it must feel that way at Beach Cities, St Andrew's and Seaside.
Here's a glimpse of the Seaside Family Camp from September 22-23:
Not sure where the kids are, but hey... this is family camp so I'm sure an aunt or cousin or grandparent is looking after them so Dane & Emily can have a moment together.
 Of course camp includes cards...
 a bit of sun...
tribal wars (and candy in the background)...
 teamwork...
 adventure sports...
 team spirit...
 inter-generational strategy...
 and encouragement...

plus a whole lot of smiles!!!!

Happy 11th Birthday, Trevor!!!

Hunter didn't like the bathing system as much as Tanner... but he's clean!
 Pregnant and happy

Oh... and there's a little bit of just hanging out too.

And though there are only limited spaces in the bloodline family, the good thing is that the Kingdom Family has no limit so let's keep inviting people in!!!

Thanks for the memories...

Jen turned the big 4-0 on Monday... with an Olympic themed celebration!!!
Then Helena turned 4 on Thursday with a Dora goes to the Olympics party... because of allergies she had a fruit tower instead of a cake and all was well...

Now two weeks later it will be Tony's turn... but first Stephen... and Cherise... and Aunt Monica...and Matt's... and Timothy... and Jessica... and wow... August is a big birthday month!!!
